The College of Health Sciences (CHS) – Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (CDS) – Nuclear Medicine Program University of Missouri - Columbia (MU), invites applications for a full time, on-site Assistant/Associate/Full Teaching Professor and Director position in the Radiochemical Manufacturing Emphasis Area.
About the Department/Program
The Nuclear Medicine Program is an accredited, entry level program within the Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences. The program delivers integrated didactic, laboratory, and clinical education and maintains active partnerships with affiliated clinical sites. Faculty provide direct oversight to ensure educational quality, student progression, and compliance with accreditation standards. The Radiochemical Manufacturing Emphasis Area will reside academically in the Nuclear Medicine Program.
Position Overview
The Radiochemical Manufacturing Program Faculty member will support the delivery of the undergraduate Radiochemical Manufacturing emphasis area. The position includes teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, internship oversight, and collaboration with faculty and industry partners to prepare students for careers in radiopharmaceutical and radiochemical manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and develop radiochemical manufacturing courses
- Advise and mentor students
- Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate student internships
- Conduct site visits
- Maintain relationships with internship and industry partners
- Support student recruitment and retention efforts
- Participate in program assessment activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Radiochemical Manufacturing curriculum and student learning experiences
