Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Hematology/Oncology
Job Description:
The Division of Hematology Oncology to the Department of Medicine is actively recruiting a physician to join an academic faculty team that provides patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, as well as opportunities for research. The physician hired will have a faculty appointment at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences with the appointment commensurate with the candidate's credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Hematology Oncology Division healthcare team to provide patients with medical care services within the standard of care of patients.
- Round with the Hematology Oncology team, including APPs, Residents, Medical Students and Fellows. Also, the successful candidate will have independent rounding responsibilities.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Participate in the teaching programs of the Department of Medicine, the College of Medicine, and the University.
- Participate in research trials that align with the goals of the Department of Medicine
- Participate in service assignments of importance to the Department of Medicine, the College of Medicine, and the University.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or equivalent required
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency
- Fellowship trained in Hematology Oncology
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology Oncology
- Current licensure in the State of Ohio required, prior to beginning the position
