Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $220,000 - $420,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Position description
The University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Department of Pediatrics and Rady Children's Health is committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and student body. We are recruiting exceptionally talented academic clinical neonatologists to join the Division of Neonatology.
The Division of Neonatology has a well-established ACGME-accredited fellowship, NIH-funded investigators, numerous ongoing and multicenter clinical trials, and ongoing collaborations with many other centers across the nation and within UC San Diego.
The selected candidates will contribute to the Division of Neonatology's mission by providing exceptional patient care, actively contributing to medical education through teaching, leading innovative scholarly activities and/or research, and mentoring trainees.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, or an MD/PhD in a health-related field.
Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Candidates must have, or be eligible for, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
