The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Taipei Medical University invite applications for Assistant, Associate, or Professor position in the Graduate Institute of Mind, Brain and Consciousness (GIMBC).

Job Description:

Taipei Medical University is looking for a motivated member with Ph.D. degree with outstanding academic achievements in the field relating to brain science or a related discipline from an accredited university, college, or institution, including public, private, or foreign universities recognized by the Ministry of Education(R.O.C), who will contribute to our international research profile in a cross-disciplinary environment. The new appointee will be based at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Taipei Medical University.

Salary: $83,720NTD~$198,770NTD per month + benefits

Selection Criteria / Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. with outstanding academic achievements in the field relating to brain science or a related discipline from a public or accredited private university, independent college, or from a foreign university or independent college recognized in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education
2. Successful candidates should have knowledge of cognitive neuroscience, Computational neuroscience, including but not limited to deep learning, Neuroimaging (MRI, EEG, MEG, ultrasound or optical imaging), especially multi-modal imaging, Brain stimulation (TMS, tDCS, or tACS), and A background in the scientific study of the self and consciousness and a proven track record of high-profile publications
3. Successful candidates should have experience of research with neurological or psychiatric patients and cross-disciplinary research experience in, e.g., neuroscience with philosophy, anthropology, or related fields
4. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and demonstrate a proven track record of high-profile publications
5. The positions is for candidates with expertise in neuroscience or relevant research areas
6. Demonstrated ability to apply for research grants, with research experiences in conducting large projects, in writing research projects, International experience and history of international collaborations, and independent research will be advantageous
7. Demonstrated ability to provide English as a medium of instruction, innovate in teaching and research, and work in teams
8. Candidates with teaching experience will be advantageous
9. Passion for teaching and talent cultivation
10. Exhibits great communication skills, teamwork ability, and capacities in international exchange and cooperation
11. Excellent English proficiency and research enthusiasm, good communication with well-developed interpersonal skills
