Assistant, Associate or Full Professor WOT, Dept. of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care Medicine
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care Medicine, at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (WOT), Associate Professor (WOT), or Professor (WOT) without tenure by reason of funding, on the Clinician-Scholar track, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026. Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide direct patient care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Units at Seattle Children's Hospital and/or the Harborview Medical Center, teaching, and may include research and or administrative work depending on training, interests, and Division needs.
Opportunities are available for research and collaboration with scientists at Seattle Children’s Research Institute, as well as all biomedical departments at the University of Washington.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30).
Associate Professors and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30).
Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors range: $22,308 - $27,511 per month ($267,706 - $330,137 annually), Associate Professors range: $25,679 - $31,224 per month ($308,153 - $374,694 annually), Professors range: $31,627 - $37,999 per month ($379,534 - $455,988 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children's University Medical Group practice plan.
Compensation provided by Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
