Assistant, Associate, or Professor Rank-Core Faculty Position (Phoenix, AZ)
The Tufts University School of Medicine's Department of Rehabilitation Sciences invites applications for full-time, 12-month non-tenured faculty appointment for Tufts University’s hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program - Phoenix. This seven-semester DPT program is a blend of online and on-campus activities which allows the faculty member to live remote to the campus. However, DPT faculty members must be able to travel and stay in the Phoenix area for designated time periods each semester over the two-year curriculum. Successful candidates are expected to enhance current teaching, scholarship, service, and mentoring activities within the DPT program.
Teaching and Education Responsibilities: Teach courses as agreed upon with the DPT Program Director.

Essential Tasks and Functions:
The faculty member must demonstrate the following knowledge, skill and ability or be able to explain and demonstrate that the faculty member can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skill and ability.
- Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the Core Values and Code of Ethics of the Physical Therapy Profession
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill/expertise in the areas of assigned teaching
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and professionally written and orally, both online and in-person
- Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including students, administration, faculty and staff
- Demonstrates the ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrates the ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program to include teaching, service, scholarship, advising/coaching.
We seek collegial individuals who either have a terminal academic doctorate in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities (Ph.D., Ed.D, etc.) or a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (or tDPT), with American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) or certification credentials appropriate for their teaching responsibilities. While expertise in orthopedics, foundations, business management, or lifespan (pediatrics/older adult) are preferred, candidates with qualifications in all areas of DPT curricula will be considered. Rank will be commensurate with experience but all positions in Tufts DPT are non-tenure.
The ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills and strong computer skills to meet the needs of our hybrid educational format. We desire team-oriented colleagues with experience teaching in a DPT program who are willing and able to collaborate on instructional methods, student-learning activities, and scholarly pursuits. We also are eager to identify candidates who show a genuine appreciation of evidence-based teaching, integration of technology within the classroom and building a student-centered community within the online classroom. The candidates should be licensed in or eligible for licensure in Arizona.

Salary range: Assistant Professor: $108,000-$162,000 per year, depending on experience; Associate Professor: $120,000-$200,000 per year, depending on experience; Professor: $156,000-$312,500, per year, depending on experience
