Job Summary
The Assistant Professor/Associate Professor position in the College of Education is a tenure-track faculty role within the Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation, and Interpreter Training. This position also serves as the Coordinator of Rehabilitation, providing leadership and oversight for the rehabilitation counseling program. The role presents an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing counseling program, preparing the next generation of professionals through teaching, mentorship, research, and program coordination. Faculty members in this role are responsible for teaching online graduate courses in rehabilitation and clinical mental health counseling, coordinating and supporting the rehabilitation counseling program, conducting and publishing scholarly research, and engaging in service to the department, university, and broader professional community.
Key responsibilities include providing academic advising and mentorship to graduate students, supervising practicum and internship students, and managing essential administrative duties such as course scheduling, student recruitment, maintaining office hours, and participating in faculty meetings. Faculty are also expected to proctor and grade comprehensive examinations, attend regional faculty meetings, and actively contribute to the advancement of CACREP-accredited programs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program or an accredited institution with a strong commitment to CACREP standards.
- Licensed or license-eligible as a professional counselor (LPC) or certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC).
- Demonstrated ability to engage in research and scholarly publication in counseling or related fields.
