Assistant/Associate Professor
Description of Work
The primary purpose of the position is to teach courses in the Department of Biology, provide student career and academic advisement, conduct student mentored research, obtain extramural funding, publish and present research results, engage in professional development, participate in community outreach activities, and serve on Department and University committees.
Competencies/Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position
Experience in research and grant writing with publication track-record preferred with a minimum of one year teaching experience at the college level.
Minimum Training and Experience
A Doctorate degree is required.
Management Preferences
Doctorate in Biology or closely related area with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate coursework in the specified discipline. Post-doctoral or corporate experience preferred.
