Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) or closely related field by July 31, 2027 (ABD will be considered for the first year of this position with a reduction in rank and salary).
- Evidence of at least three years of experience working with children and families in community or educational settings
Areas of Interest
Candidates must demonstrate evidence of university-level teaching experience and potential for an active research agenda. Expertise required in at least TWO of the listed areas including child development, family dynamics, evidence-based instruction, STEAM, prekindergarten/kindergarten teaching, or early childhood teacher preparation.
Description of the Department or Unit
The Reich College of Education offers comprehensive degree programs. This position resides in the Department of Child Development, Literacy and Special Education. The Child Development and Education (CDE) program prepares students in Child Development and Birth through Kindergarten teacher education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in-person and online
- Engage in scholarly work
- Engage with laboratory school and clinical settings
- Engage in service and collaborate with colleagues
- Serve on and chair doctoral committees
