Ball State University's Department of Elementary Education invites applications for a full-time, tenure-line faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank beginning August 2027. While candidates at all ranks will be considered, we are particularly interested in applicants whose experiences and accomplishments support appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level.Salary range for Assistant Professor: $70,000 - $75,000
Salary range for Associate Professor or Professor: $75,000 - $95,000
We seek a collaborative teacher-scholar committed to preparing highly effective elementary educators and advancing knowledge in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs in elementary education, with particular emphasis on literacy, inclusive teaching practices, and curriculum and instruction. We are especially interested in candidates whose teaching, scholarship, and professional engagement reflect current research and evidence-based practices in elementary education and who can contribute leadership to the department's teaching, research, partnerships, and program development.
This position offers opportunities to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, supervise candidates in field-based settings, maintain a productive program of research and scholarship, collaborate with faculty and school/community partners, and contribute to the ongoing development of innovative educator preparation programs. Candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level should demonstrate a sustained record of scholarly productivity and professional contributions appropriate to rank.
