About the Department

The Department of Health Sciences in the Byrdine F Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions at Georgia State University (GSU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.

Position Description

Responsibilities include developing or advancing a focused program of externally funded research and teaching across undergraduate and graduate levels, mentoring students and faculty, and contributing to university and professional service.

Required Experience

• Assistant/Associate rank: Demonstrate a strong record of scholarly productivity with peer-reviewed publications, and show evidence of external funding or high potential for securing grants.
• Associate Professor rank: At least 7 years of prior academic experience with a strong record of research productivity, including publications in top-tier journals and successful grantsmanship.

Required Education

PhD or equivalent research doctoral degree in health sciences or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Prior experience teaching undergraduate or graduate students or research-focused courses
• Experience with publications and scientific presentations
• Prior involvement in securing significant external funding is considered a strong asset.
