Job Description
This is a 9-month, tenure-track position located on Tarleton’s Fort Worth campus in Fort Worth, Texas. Summer appointment is dependent upon need and funding availability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
80% Teaching and Service:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or laboratory offerings to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments.
- Assess student performance and provide academic support.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in institutional service roles.
20% Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity:
- Maintain an active research agenda.
- Make original contributions through scholarly publication and presentation.
- Demonstrate potential for external funding.
Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related discipline.
- MS in Speech and Language Pathology, ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP), and eligibility for Texas state licensure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Preferred Requirements
- 3 years clinical experience.
- Previous teaching in higher education.
