Position Overview
Assistant Coach/Director of Player Personnel will assist with roster management and development of our student-athletes. Recruiting, retaining and developing high-achieving student athletes is imperative to the success of the Women’s Basketball program and in turn the overall reach and success of the athletics department.
Responsibilities
- Recruit top talent, create plans and programs for individual and team skill development, and ensure our student-athletes perform at their best both on the court and academically
- Evaluation and recruitment of academically qualified and highly skilled student-athletes.
- Provide administrative, instructional and coaching assistance to the Head Coach.
- Lead community engagement opportunities and community relations
- Foster meaningful relationships and building trust with student-athletes, coordinating and implementing various programs and initiatives
- Responsible for the planning, preparation and execution of camps
- Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
- Earned four-year baccalaureate degree required or equivalent experience
- Outstanding verbal communication and leadership skills
- Able to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within college athletics as a coach or administrator
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.
