Job Description:
Responsible for recruiting, developing, and providing direct &
independent coaching to student-athletes in assistance to the Head
men’s Basketball Coach.
Job Duties:
Assist with managing financial aspects of the Men’s Basketball
program, including budget, travel, operations, and fundraising in
consultation with Head Coach. Monitor academic progress of Men’s
Basketball student-athletes, assist in the development and
implementation of public relations, marketing and fundraising
initiatives for the program and the athletic department; comply
with applicable NCAA, Conference and Texas State University rules
and regulations; and other duties as assigned by the Head
Coach.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate player development programs and initiatives
- Assist with implementing player development programs to support
student-athletes’ transition into college environment
- Assist in creating self-scout edits and creating position
edits
- Build post season video library
- Assist with team travel preparation
- Assist in coordination of sports camps and clinics
- Identifies and monitors at-risk student athletes
- Works with university departments to ensure player needs are
addressed and met as they relate to academic and/or personal
concerns
