Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $105,000.00 Annually
Maximum: $120,000.00 Annually
Job Summary
The Associate Dean of Student Affairs promotes student development and academic success by developing and implementing non-academic programs, policies and services that support the students and the mission of College of Graduate Nursing. Responsible for monitoring and administering the student services and student affairs functions of the College of Graduate Nursing. This position reports directly to the Dean.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in multiple settings including in person, email, telephone, video conferencing and other business communication systems. Ability to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
- Ability to use multiple computer programs as needed to accomplish essential job functions including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, learning management systems (Canvas), Banner, Banner Self-Service.
- Organizational skills necessary to prioritize workload. Ability to prioritize workload to meet long and short-term deadlines.
- Flexibility in job assignments to meet departmental priorities.
- Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments with accuracy, consistency, with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal skills and experience necessary to offer initial counseling to College of Graduate Nursing students in personal, professional, and behavioral matters.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree required.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- 3 or more years experience with student services programs in a university setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Doctorate Preferred.
- Preference will be given to individuals with a background in an academic setting and to those individuals possessing advanced computer skills.
