Assistant Director for Assessment & Strategic Planning
The Assistant Director for Assessment & Strategic Planning evaluates the effectiveness of departmental programs, services, and operations through comprehensive assessment, data analysis, and strategic reporting. This role supports data-informed decision-making by developing dashboards, reports, and evaluation tools that measure student engagement, learning outcomes, and post-graduate success. The Assistant Director plans, facilitates, and evaluates assessment strategies and data systems that align with departmental, divisional, and institutional goals.
The Assistant Director plays a central role in a network of relationships that connects departmental staff, institutional research and assessment partners, and campus technology units to advance data integrity, reporting capabilities, and strategic initiatives. Through collaboration and consultation, this position ensures the effective use of data systems, including different career management platforms, to support student, employer, faculty/staff, and alumni engagement. The Assistant Director supports major departmental initiatives such as annual reporting, career fairs, and strategic planning efforts and serves as a key resource for data and assessment practices. This individual reports to the Director for Employer Partnerships and Assessment and works as part of the Employer Relations team within the Center for Career and Leadership Development.
