Assistant Director of Admission
- Represent the College and provide information and counseling to prospective students, families, counselors and others through interviews, group presentations, and phone and email communications
- Manage a defined recruitment territory; plan and conduct travel to visit high schools, attend college fairs and conferences, and connect with prospective students
- Review applications individually and in committee settings, recommend candidates for admission, and serve on admission selection committees
- Maintain and increase the selectivity, quality and diversity of the applicant pool and matriculants through a variety of recruitment and yield activities
- Manage a portfolio of specific admission programs and projects assigned by the Director and/or Dean
- Assist in the planning and implementation of student recruitment strategies and contribute to the development of new and creative admission programs
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners including current students, faculty, administrators, alumni and the public to support recruitment and yield activities
- Prepare statistical and area reports including appropriate recommendations or conclusions
- Interpret educational policy and institutional mission of the College to perpetuate its intellectual quality
