Department Summary
This position collaborates closely with University Communications and Marketing (UCM) and Student Affairs Communications on the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns, branding initiatives, digital content, public relations efforts, and other strategic projects that advance the goals of Culinary Services. Utilizing performed research, customer surveys, institutional/divisional benchmarking, and service and sales assessment, advises and collaborates with Culinary Services' leadership and front-line support staff on departmental revenue-generation opportunities, campus-wide service promotions and program enhancements.
This position provides key project planning, management and coordination, and production management for print publications and Culinary Services' websites and mobile app in line with OHIO UCM brand standards and guidelines.
Responsible for overseeing a marketing and design team of student employees.
Position Profile
Develops and manages communications strategies to effectively convey the University's vision to students, employees, alumni, and the public. Develops, implements, and/or executes marketing communications programs. Involves work in two or more communications and marketing disciplines.
Level Summary
Manages and resolves complex and ambiguous issues. Works on both strategic and operational challenges, addressing problems that require advanced knowledge and experience. Often takes on leadership roles in projects or initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides mentorship and guidance to team. Infrequently has a limited number of direct reports.
Fiscal Responsibilities
May have budgetary responsibility for small-scale projects or initiatives.

Solves complex problems, often with limited guidance.

Communication and Collaboration

Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Pay Rate: The proposed salary range for this position is $44,592 to $74,196. The salary negotiated at the time of offer will be commensurate with education and experience while also considering internal equity.
