The Assistant Director serves as the primary functional lead for housing management systems and operational procedures while collaborating with campus partners to ensure efficient, student-centered service delivery. This position develops and implements housing policies and procedures, analyzes occupancy trends and data, and supports strategic planning related to enrollment and residential capacity. This is a 12-month, full-time professional position.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree required in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Two to four years of progressively responsible experience in Housing and Residence Life, Student Affairs, or a related administrative area.
- Demonstrated experience with housing management software StarRez and student information systems.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data, preparing reports, and utilizing data to support strategic decision-making.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive student information.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and continuous process improvement.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required and participate in the professional staff on-call rotation.
