Design and deliver workshops and programs focused on successful matriculation.Coach students individually and in groups on career exploration, clinical placements, and graduate/professional school preparation and applications.Maintain online resources for pre-health students, including website, social media, and learning management content.Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement - Build strategic partnerships and coordinate events with admissions representatives, local hospitals, and faculty and staff at University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Chattanooga.
- Partner with campus offices to deliver and advertise pre-health services and programs, including presence at orientation and recruitment events.
- Cultivate ongoing relationships with faculty and other campus stakeholders as well as external partners who support pre-health career development.
- Lead the planning and execution of signature events, including but not limited to the Pre-Health Expo, Thompson Scholars Summer Bootcamp, and Pre-Health Preview Day.
- Develop outreach strategies that raise awareness of and access to pre-health advising services.
- Help shape collaborative pre-health initiatives with faculty, career services, and the academic advising community.
Administration, Management, and Supervision- Assess program metrics and report progress to campus stakeholders.
- Develop print materials in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.
- Present information about pre-health advising services to varied audiences such as parents, campus partners, external colleagues, and prospective students.
- Serve on relevant Career Center, Student Affairs, and/or campus committees, position searches, and task forces.
- Stay current on health professions admissions trends through professional development and association involvement.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student staff supporting outreach, programming, and events.
- As growth demands, supervise additional pre-health advisors.
The ideal candidate will possess the following (KSA): - Higher education experience in student advisement and/or teaching and mentorship
- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Experience in health care is not required, but adds value to the position
