Summary:
The Assistant Director of Recruitment performs duties related to the functions of the Recruitment Office, including but not limited to managing digital communications, leading major recruitment events, and supporting enrollment strategies to attract prospective students. This position plays a key role in leading community college recruitment initiatives to strengthen transfer pipelines and partnerships with two-year institutions. Additionally, the Assistant Director will assist with on-campus graduate recruitment efforts to increase engagement and enrollment across multiple student populations.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in digital design, communications, business, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in digital design (graphic design, web content, social media management, or related area).
- At least 2 years of professional experience in event planning and execution.
- Strong professional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, track outcomes, and adjust strategies to achieve enrollment goals.
- Must be a hard-working, creative, and team-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills.
Position Duties:
- Update communication flows within the CRM for first-time freshmen (FTF), transfer, on-campus graduate students, and friends/family audiences.
- Design, implement, and update all content on social media accounts in conjunction with the Director of Recruitment.
- Collaborate with the Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management, Director of Recruitment, and Media & Public Relations (MPR) to design and implement digital and print marketing materials.
- Lead the planning, promotion, and execution of major recruitment events including Pilot Preview Day, Parent Night, Homeschool Day, and New Student Orientations.
- Organize the LSUS Campus Tour Experience to deliver a consistent and engaging visit for prospective students and families.
- Coordinate off-campus recruitment events, ensuring LSUS’s presence is professional, engaging, and effective.
- Serve as a liaison for the Office of Recruitment within the community, with schools, fairs, and community events.
- Lead strategic community college recruitment initiatives to strengthen transfer pipelines and build strong partnerships with two-year institutions.
- Assist with on-campus graduate recruitment efforts, including event support, communication strategies, and prospective student engagement.
- Contribute to communication strategies for referred students and transfer students.
- Assume other duties as assigned to support Enrollment Management initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are more than those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
