Dean of Faculty of Design/Head of Organizational unit, on behalf of the Rector of Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology announces a competition for the position of Assistant Lecturer in the group of research-teaching staff in the Department of Industrial Design.
The competition is open to candidates with a background in design and practical experience in the field of industrial design, with particular emphasis on the design of: public transport, technical equipment, design systems as well as design project management. The ability to deliver teaching at an academic level is required, including design exercises and practical workshops using design software. The assistant’s duties will also include organisational activities on behalf of the Department, the Faculty and the University, as well as carrying out administrative tasks related to the teaching process. The candidate should strive for academic/artistic development (by obtaining further degrees and titles). The Faculty of Design holds the relevant authorisation in this regard. The candidate is required to be mobile and available.

Skills/Qualifications
- holding a master’s degree,
- possessing higher education degree (Master’s or equivalent) in industrial design or related fields falling within the disciplines of fine arts and art conservation,
- documented project experience (portfolio), including in the areas of product realizations or collaboration with industry,
- activity in exhibition or competition (participation in exhibitions, biennales, awards, publications),
- command of English in sufficient level to teach on the Erasmus+ Programme,
- knowledge of the technologies and materials used in the design process,
- aptitude for teaching and organisational work,
- proficiency in using CAD design tools and graphics software (e.g. Rhino, SolidWorks, Blender, Fusion 360, Keyshot, Adobe CC),
- in the case of foreigners, the command of the Polish language, spoken and written, is required to the extent that enables conducting classes with students.
