Assistant Manager, Undergraduate Studies
Job Description
The Assistant Manager will manage and execute the end-to-end administration of the Undergraduate Programmes in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS), NUS.
Academic Operations
- Manage the end-to-end process of course management, including timetable scheduling, classroom allocation, and course registration
- Manage the end-to-end process for assessments, including exam scheduling, logistics, invigilation coordination, processing and verification of grades
- Provide administrative support for curriculum updates
- Handle Student Exchange Programme (SEP), Honours Thesis, Independent Study Course, Internship Programme and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP) matters
- Oversee the nomination and selection process for Scholarships, Medals and Prizes
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for student enquiries and appeals
- Manage the undergraduate student database
- Liaise and coordinate with faculty for programme delivery
- Facilitate the department’s undergraduate digital presence, such as department website and social media
Others
- Support the rollout of new undergraduate initiatives
- Assist with minutes writing
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned
Qualifications
- At least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in higher education, academic administration, or related fields
- Organised and meticulous with an eye for details
- Ability to engage and support diverse faculty and student groups
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Familiarity with website management and social media platforms
