"Assistant Men's Basketball Coach"

Assist the Head Men's Basketball Coach with all assigned duties associated with the Intercollegiate Men's Basketball Program.

Minimum Qualifications: Required Education: Course work leading to a degree Certificate. Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. NCAA learning portal proficiency, or passing within one month of hire. Possess a current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Required Minimum Work Experience: Demonstrated successful basketball playing experience at the collegiate or comparative level or coaching experience at the collegiate, comparative or high school level. No prior involvement with NCAA major rules violations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of NCAA and conference compliance rules. Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. Skills: Instructing - Teaching others how to do something. Oral and Written Communication - Active listening, speaking, and writing which ensures comprehension and understanding. Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others. Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions. Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. Monitoring - Monitoring/assessing performance. Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses. Abilities: Ability to use various computer software applications including video editing systems. Ability to organize effectively. Ability to tell when something is wrong. Ability to come up with original ideas. Ability to establish good rapport with student athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, staff, alumni, colleagues, and the public. Ability to actively look for ways to help people. Ability to work under stressful situations. Ability to develop knowledge of and respect for other cultures.
