Required Education: The required education and experience include an earned PhD or DNP nursing degree with demonstration of expertise in nursing administration and evidence-based practice. Active Kentucky license as a prepared registered nurse required along with at least 5 years of practice and academic experience.
Job Summary: The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Graduate DNP Program is seeking a Special Title Series (tenure-eligible) Assistant or Associate Professor (open-rank). This position is a 12-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 60-80% Teaching and Advising, 0-20% Clinical Practice Activities, 15% Research and Scholarly Activity, and 5% Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date on January 1, 2026, but not later than July 1, 2026. This position will remain open until filled.
This position, based in Lexington, KY, will assist in MSN/DNP program instruction needed to expand and resource the Healthcare Systems Leadership Program (ENL) specialty program in the College of Nursing. This position requires an individual to provide teaching, advising, and mentoring related to Healthcare Systems Leadership and Executive Nurse Leadership.
