Academic Expectations

Candidates will be expected to engage in interdisciplinary teaching integrating the basic anatomical sciences into clinical contexts, and ensure close coordination of resources with the undergraduate medical education (UME) and other health professional programs. In addition to delivering core anatomy instruction, the candidate will be responsible for developing MPAS-specific instructional materials and will contribute to essential service associated with launching and sustaining an accredited professional program. The successful candidate will also actively engage in collaborative and/or independent research projects that complement existing research strengths in the Department.

Qualifications

Applications will be considered from qualified applicants with a PhD, MD or DDS (or equivalent) degree, with a strong background and demonstrated excellence in both classroom and laboratory teaching of gross anatomy. Experience with human cadaveric laboratory teaching is essential, and expertise in neuroanatomy, histology, embryology, or pedagogy would be considered an asset.
