The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of complex spine surgery with specialization in minimally invasive spine surgery. Career interest and subspecialty expertise including but not limited to endoscopic, robotic, and minimal access approaches are desired. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be ABNS certified or eligible and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education. Training in a post-graduate spine fellowship is also required.
Teaching responsibilities may include the education and training of medical students, residents and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include the practice of complex spine surgery, including open and minimally invasive techniques.
