Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include developing and conducting an organized set of educational programs to build the skills of students, residents, fellows, and faculty in conducting HPE research and innovations, such as education design-based research, design thinking and co-design, qualitative research methods, and program evaluation. In addition, significant mentoring of others in the conduct of HPE-related research is an important responsibility of this position.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of a program of research in health professions education (HPE) focused on equity and assessment in HPE.

As a member of the Department of Pediatrics, teaching responsibilities will include developing educational programs to build the skills of students, residents, fellows, and faculty in conducting HPE research and innovations. Developing a track record of mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty in the conduct of HPE research is also expected.

We are seeking candidates with a strong early career record of HPE research productivity, skills in qualitative and design-based research methods, experience with multicenter research projects, and evidence of mentoring others in HPE research and scholarship. Early evidence demonstrating development of a national reputation is also desired.
