Assistant Professor, Clinician Educator, Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and be Board-Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Teaching responsibilities include participating in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows; mentoring trainees in the applicant's area of interest; and supervising research staff.
Clinical responsibilities include providing direct patient care in an Emergency Department with an annual volume of 100,000 visits, as well as opportunities at affiliate institutions.
Research responsibilities include knowledge of current ED studies, patient enrollment, establishing a research portfolio, authoring manuscripts, and serving as principal investigator on grants.
