Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
The individual filling this tenure-track position will be responsible for teaching a full academic load, planning and developing courses to enhance the program. The position also requires advising graduate level program participants. This is an on-campus position.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for teaching a full academic load (12 hours per semester).
- Responsible for planning and developing courses to enhance the program.
- Advise graduate-level program participants.
- Execute a research agenda and provide services to the University, the community of Albany, and to the profession of counseling.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Doctorate in Counseling Education (from a CACREP-accredited program) or have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counseling education program.
Must have potential for scholarly research.
Core faculty must meet one of the required qualifications:
- Have an earned doctoral degree in counselor education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program; or
- Have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013; or
- Have been employed as a full-time doctoral-level faculty member in a CORE-accredited master’s program prior to July 1, 2017; or
- Have graduated from a rehabilitation doctoral program prior to January 1, 2018.
Preferred Qualifications
Have a professional counseling identity.
