The Assistant Professor is a tenure-track faculty member who performs a combination of teaching, research, and service. The candidate is expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students and develop externally funded research trajectories.
We are seeking candidates whose work speaks to high-stakes planning issues in the housing domain. The School is especially interested in candidates who are conducting research in one or more of the following areas:
Affordability and access;
Displacement, eviction, and housing instability;
Policy, regulation, and law;
Finance, land-use, and housing markets.
Candidates whose work advances methodological innovations in housing research are particularly encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications
A doctoral degree in planning or a related field is required.
Clear evidence of effective teaching is required.
Preferred Qualifications
The ability to adopt teaching strategies that support the learning and success of all students and promote an inclusive and welcoming educational/work environment is especially preferred.
