"Assistant Professor in Kinesiology"

Academic Rank: A full-time tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor or higher if experience and qualifications warrant.

Salary & Benefits: Based on education and experience per the Crandall University Faculty Handbook. (salary range $66,900 - $88,260). Includes a benefit and retirement package.

Qualifications: A PhD or appropriate graduate degree or designation in kinesiology or a related area.

Particulars of the Position: To be considered for the appointment, candidates must be committed to teaching, pursuing scholarship from a Christian perspective, and to the University’s mission and statement of faith (which can be found on our website: www.crandallu.ca).

Lecturing and laboratory work will provide opportunities for experiential learning, multidisciplinary approaches, and collaborative partnerships that support the development of students’ formation in kinesiology. Possible courses include exercise physiology, biomechanics of physical activity, motor control and learning, and exercise prescription for various populations. The candidate will also be given opportunities to develop course(s) within their particular specialization.

Teaching Load: Six semester courses per year or equivalent.

Other Duties: In addition to teaching, research and service are obligatory components of this tenure-track position. The successful candidate will serve as academic advisor to students enrolled in the undergraduate kinesiology program and will be expected to function on at least one university committee annually. In addition, Faculty are encouraged to be involved within their respective discipline’s professional organizations or agencies. They also are encouraged to find their role of service within a local church and their community.
