Offer Description
Candidates are expected to meet the following requirements:
- A completed master’s degree programme in English Philology or Applied Linguistics, with English as the principal language.
- A doctoral degree in English linguistics, preferably in the field of glottodidactics, foreign language teaching methodology, or English language teaching.
- Teaching experience in higher education, including the delivery of courses in practical English language training and methodology-related subjects, such as foreign language teaching methodology, foreign language lesson planning, general didactics as applied to foreign language teaching, and assessment or evaluation.
- Readiness to teach courses in both full-time and part-time study programmes.

Specific Requirements
Teaching duties:
- Teaching classes in practical English language training, methodology-related / glottodidactic subjects, and diploma seminars.
- Conducting diploma seminars at first-cycle and/or second-cycle studies.
- Improving teaching skills through participation in various forms of professional development, including courses, webinars, training sessions, etc.
Organisational duties:
- Participating in the organisation of the teaching process at the Department of Literature and Language Studies, including the organisation of course credits and examinations, as well as participation in work on study programmes.
- Popularising knowledge and promoting the achievements of the Department, Faculty, and University.
- Performing other tasks related to the organisation and improvement of the teaching process in the field of Philology, in accordance with the decisions of the Department/Faculty authorities.

- An application for employment addressed to the Rector of Koszalin University of Technology.
- A personal information form.
- An academic curriculum vitae.
- A diploma confirming the award of a doctoral degree in the required discipline.
- A declaration stating that Koszalin University of Technology will be the candidate’s primary place of employment within the meaning of the Act – Law on Higher Education and Science.
- A declaration confirming that the candidate: has not been subject to the penalties specified in Article 276(1), points 7 and 8; has full legal capacity; enjoys full public rights; and has not been convicted by a final court judgment of an intentional criminal offence or an intentional fiscal offence, in accordance with Article 20(1)–(3).
- A certificate or information from the National Criminal Register concerning offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Polish Criminal Code, Articles 189a and 207 of the Criminal Code, and the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 172, and Journal of Laws of 2022, item 2600), or corresponding prohibited acts defined under the law of another country. - A record of current research achievements confirmed by academic publications.
- Documents confirming that the candidate meets the remaining competition requirements specified in the form for advertisers.
- Confirmation that the candidate has reviewed the remuneration conditions applicable at the employer, pursuant to Article 183ca of the Polish Labour Code.
Selection process
The Competition Committee will evaluate the scientific achievements and qualifications of the Candidates on the basis of the submitted documentation. The recruitment committee reserves the right to an on-line interview with selected candidates
Additional comments
The organizer reserves the right to:
- refrain from notifying candidates whose applications were not accepted,
- conclude the competition procedure without making an appointment.
Winning the competition does not create a binding obligation to hire; the final decision regarding employment rests with the Rector.
