The LCFP, launched in 2016, has hired more than 60 outstanding faculty who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, have engaged in efforts to build a broadly diverse and equitable scholarly and learning community. The early-career program offers two pathways in LSA departments: an immediate tenure-track appointment, or a one- to two-year postdoctoral fellowship followed by a tenure-track position. Successful candidates will receive dedicated research time, mentorship, research and travel funding, and cohort- and program-based professional development opportunities related to scholarship and teaching.
The mission of the Communication and Media major is to study and teach about the mass media and emerging media: Their evolution, their effects, their uses by everyday people, and their regulation and industry practices.
