ABOUT THE VACANCY

We are recruiting to ASU London and we require staff to contribute across all of our Engineering, Business and Management and Computer Science programmes.

Academics teaching on our programmes should generally be skilled in guiding students through real‑world challenges, supporting multidisciplinary teamwork, and using industry‑standard tools and workflows given the highly practical, project‑based pedagogy we have. They should be confident embedding sustainability, ethics, inclusivity, and responsible innovation into their teaching, reflecting the programme’s emphasis on professional identity and societal impact.

In particular the knowledge for each programme requires is:

BSc Computer Science: Candidates will need strong expertise across core areas of computer science, including programming, software development, data structures, operating systems, networks, cybersecurity, machine learning, and data‑driven systems. The ability to mentor students in research, foster professional behaviours, and contribute to specialist pathways—Software Development, Cybersecurity, or Big Data—is also essential.

Core terms

  • Working days per annum 260
  • Holiday entitlement 28 days
  • Closure days Additional 5 days (Christmas/New Year) plus identified statutory/bank holiday days
  • Buying holiday Up to 10 days may be bought, 5 days maximum may be sold
  • Holiday year runs 1 January – 31 December each year
  • Pension incl. life insurance and permanent health insurance, employer contribution up to 10%
  • Life Insurance 4x Annual Salary
  • Hours of work per week 40 hours, a standard day is 8 hours. There may be a requirement for evening or weekend working for identified roles.
