Position
The Department of English, Comparative Literature, and Linguistics at California State University, Fullerton, invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Asian American literature with a desired ability to also teach courses in children's literature or creative writing. The appointment will begin in Fall 2027. For this tenure-track position in Asian American literature, scholars with comparative or transnational approaches are especially encouraged to apply. The appointee will be expected to teach a wide range of courses in all areas of the English major, both at the upper-division and graduate (M.A.) levels, as well as lower-division, introductory, and general education courses. Ph.D. in English, Comparative Literature, or a related field with an emphasis in Asian American Literature or a related field is required by August 2027. ABDs must show evidence of degree completion prior to appointment.

Compensation
The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary range is $6,221 to $13,224 monthly (12 monthly payments per academic year). The anticipated hiring range is $7,121 to $7,263 per month.
