Assistant Professor of Management
Job Summary/Basic Functions
The College of Business at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for Academic Year 2027-28. Applicants should hold an earned Ph.D. or D.B.A in Management, with a specific teaching and research focus in Entrepreneurship, from an AACSB International accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered with evidence of a scheduled doctoral defense that occurs no later than May prior to a Fall appointment. The position begins August 2027.
The position serves the Management program. The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate courses in a workload consistent with the needs and priorities of the college and institution. Courses will be in Entrepreneurship and, where needed, in other Management-related subfields. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in building the Entrepreneurship program, which will require establishing relationships with companies. The position also requires research in Entrepreneurship and Management in peer-reviewed journals consistent with College of Business requirements for Scholarly Academics.

- 5% - Keep up to date with one's field and curricular areas by reading and reviewing current scholarly or creative works and by attending conferences, seminars, workshops, courses, and faculty development activities. - (Essential)
- 5% - Advise students in fulfilling program, departmental, college, and university committee assignments. - (Essential)
- 5% - Demonstrate the willingness and ability to work effectively with colleagues to support the mission of EKU, its academic units, and its campus community. - (Essential)
- 5% - Demonstrate respect for and support EKU's student population. - (Essential)
- 40% - Maintain a faculty workload consistent with the needs and priorities of the college and institution, teaching courses as assigned at the times and in the locations necessary to meet the needs of EKU students. - (Essential)
