Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, Tenure Track in the Department of Neurosurgery, Perelman
The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neuro-immuno-oncology, cancer neuroscience, and genomics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, as well as providing formal lectures within the department and PSOM.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing both collaborative and independent research programs focused on primary and metastatic brain cancers; coordinating NIH-funded research initiatives independently and in partnership with local, national, and international collaborators; and actively contributing to the preparation of grant applications, progress reports, and scientific manuscripts.
