Assistant Professor of Practice in Criminal Justice
Hiring Salary/Recruiting Range:
Commensurate with education and experience.
Department: College of Criminal Justice
General Requirements:
The successful candidate will receive a nine-month contract for the academic year and may be issued a separate contract in summer. Work may require evenings and weekends.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Teach four (4) classes of undergraduate classes each semester based on departmental needs (online, face-to-face, and or in the competency-based education program (CBE).
This position will also oversee and teach in the College's work-based mentorship program.
Educational Requirements for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):
Candidates must have a terminal degree, such as a J.D. or Ph.D., in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related academic field.
Experience Required for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience as a criminal justice professional and/or who have proficiency in teaching criminal justice courses (college or university). Additionally, preference will be given to those who possess online instructional experience.
