Assistant Professor of Psychology
Job Summary
The Assistant Professor of Psychology position is responsible for teaching courses in the discipline area of Psychology.
Major Duties
- Teaches a typical load of 12 semester-hours of undergraduate courses each semester in Psychology in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
- Develop and design curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement.
- Provides advisement and academic support to students as Maintains class-related records and assesses student Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular Participate in departmental, college, and university-required activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a master's degree, including 18 hours in Psychology or a related field. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level in traditional classroom settings and/or an established interest in scholarship to seek publications in refereed journals and other scholarly.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. from an accredited institution. Three or more years of teaching experience
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment within a university setting, providing both in-person and online instruction. Utilizing standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and email, along with technology-based learning materials and learning management systems.
Physical Requirements
- The physical requirements of the job will consist of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time while instructing and/or engaging in meetings.
