Assistant Professor of Sociology for Dickinson College to work at our Carlisle, PA loc.

The teaching load for the academic year is five course equivalents and could include courses such as introductory Sociology, qualitative research methods, contemporary and classical theory, law and society, senior thesis seminar, and substantive electives that offer a global sociological perspective outside of the U.S./North America. Conduct research using qualitative and/or quantitative sociological methods and potential/proven track record of research and publication that are required as part of any Sociology PhD Programs.

Will undergo background checks.

Little travel to north American locations may be involved up to 60 days/yr and up to 10 days/trip to attend conferences and data collection at research field sites.

The successful candidate must have Ph.D. (ABD) in Sociology or related field and 1 year experience as a teaching assistant or instructor of record.
