The School of Education invites applications from candidates for a 12-Month Contractually Limited Term (CLT) position at the rank of Assistant Professor (or Lecturer) in the areas of Foundations and Inclusive Education beginning July 1, 2026, and running to June 30, 2027. The successful applicant is expected to teach required B.Ed. coursework in Foundations (Sociological, Historical, Philosophical Foundations of Education) and Inclusive Education (Equity and Inclusive Schooling; and Curriculum Practice for Diverse Learners).
A Master of Education (or other equivalent degree) is the minimum requirement with preference given to candidates with a completed or partially completed doctorate degree in Education (or related discipline). Graduate studies must be in education and one or more of the following priority areas or closely related fields: social justice, equity, and inclusive schooling; Indigenous education and culturally responsive pedagogy; gender and sexuality studies; and/or disability studies. Preference will be given to applicants with lived experience of marginalized identities as this is recognized as fundamental knowledge relevant to this position. Teaching experience in public schools or other educational settings would be an asset.
