Assistant Professor, Social Work

Job Summary

The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Mercy University is seeking candidates for a full time Clinical Assistant Professor in Social Work for its undergraduate Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. This position will support the delivery of the BSW program and contribute to the continued growth of the Social Work program at Mercy University. The Social Work program is also in the process of developing a Master of Social Work (MSW) program.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Teaching, service, field education coordination, and maintaining currency in the field
• Teach nine months per year and four courses per semester
• Coordinate the BSW and MSW field education programs
• Develop and maintain community partnerships

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Social Work from an accredited institution
• MSW from a CSWE accredited program
• Current licensure in social work
• At least two years of professional social work practice experience
