Description
The Department of Physiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Candidates should have expertise in molecular, biophysical, structural, or cell-biological approaches. The Department has strengths in membrane transport, cytoskeletal biology, molecular motors, cell signaling, metabolism and cellular neuroscience, with strong interests in novel technologies and interdisciplinary research. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include graduate and medical student instruction and training graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing and maintaining an extramurally-funded research program that focuses on mechanistic investigations of physiology.
