Assistant Professor (WOT)-- Neurological Surgery --Spine
The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine invites applications for a Spine Neurosurgeon to join our academic faculty.
This is a full-time appointment at the Assistant Professor (without tenure) rank in the Clinician-Scientist Pathway or the Clinician-Scholar pathway.
Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1–June 30).
The applicant’s primary responsibilities include clinical care, teaching, and research in the Department of Neurological Surgery. Specifically, we would ask the applicant to partner with our faculty in expanding our comprehensive spine program within the department. We expect the applicant to continue to advance our research interests, including the acquisition of new and independent funding sources (private and federal grants) for their research within the first three years as a faculty member.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an M.D. degree (or foreign equivalent). Applicants must be eligible for a Washington State Medical License. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Neurological Surgery.
