Assistant Research Scholar, part time
An assistant research scholar is needed for assistance with revising course materials and lecture notes for LING-UA 6, Patterns in Language. This is a part-time position for approximately 20 hours a week. The applicant must have served as a course assistant for a previous instance of LING-UA 6 Patterns in Language. Responsibilities include revising course materials and lecture notes for deep learning alignment, developing "sandbox" environments for students to test model inference, refining "classic" statistical assignments to incorporate deep learning components where feasible, and ensuring materials remain accessible to undergraduate students with zero prerequisites.
This position is based in New York, and the selected candidate will be expected to work on-site as of their effective start date.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $26 - $30/hour with a max of 27 hours per week. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
