Assistant Senior Manager/ Senior Manager- Centre Shared Services (Faculty of Law)
Job Description
The incumbent will oversee the overall administration of three Research Centres at NUS Law as part of the Centre Shared Services (CSS) team. The role requires the management of a small administrative team in ensuring the smooth execution of the Centres’ research activities, financial administration, governance processes, and events, to further the Centre’s research missions and stakeholder engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of administrative staff supporting the three research Centres.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and administration of the Centres, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
- Manage and monitor operational and research budgets, which includes preparation of reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage centre-related events, i.e. conferences, symposiums and workshops
- Organise and minute executive committee and advisory board meetings.
- Facilitate the recruitment and hosting of academic visitors and researchers
- Maintain the Centre’s website and social media accounts
- Conceptualising of publicity materials
- Other related administrative duties assigned by the Centres’ director and deputy director.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years managerial experience leading operations, administration, events and secretariat work.
- Well-versed with Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with social media applications, Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop will be an advantage.
- Service-oriented, meticulous, with a willingness to learn.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently, exercise sound judgment, and operate independently.
- Possesses a pleasant disposition with good written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
