Job Description

Applications are invited for an Assistant Teaching Professor with a focus on AI. This is a 9-month, non-tenure-track faculty appointment in the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri and can be housed in any of the departments in the College, dependent on background and fit. The position is renewable and intended as a long-term role within the College.

Duties include teaching undergraduate- and master’s-level courses focused on artificial intelligence and its applications in business, with an emphasis on experiential learning and hands-on use of contemporary AI tools and platforms. The successful candidate will also serve as a resource for faculty across the College of Business, supporting the integration of AI-related tools, assignments, and pedagogical approaches into existing courses. The person hired in this role is expected to also teach undergraduate business courses in one or more functional areas of business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Earned master’s degree from an accredited institution; academic preparation in Business, Data Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise and current knowledge of artificial intelligence applications in business contexts.
• Professional experience applying AI, analytics, or related technologies in organizational, consulting, or applied professional settings.

Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
