Associate Chief Medical Officer, Cancer Services

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, Ambulatory, the Associate Chief Medical Officer, Cancer Services (ACMO) involves oversight of medical operations for Cancer Services within the Ambulatory Business Unit, ensuring patients receive the highest quality clinical care. Provides physician leadership for Cancer Services faculty practice(s) and act as liaison between doctors and other healthcare executives. Implements safe, cost-effective, efficient medical interventions and ensures seamless medical care across inpatient units and ambulatory sites. Focused on improving ambulatory access and modernizing operations. Develops and/or facilitates quality measurements for clinical programs; monitors and improves quality and safety metrics. Establishes and monitors compliance with regulations required by external regulatory agencies, state, and other accreditation bodies. Contributes to physician workforce planning and physician recruitment, evaluation and training. Assists the faculty practice(s) in resolving problems and questions of policy as they relate to the medical staff and patient care. Coordinates activities of the faculty practice medical staff, and assures compliance with medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations.

Division of Time: This position is estimated to be 70% Health Administration and 30% Clinical.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $273,200 - $575,400 (Annual Rate).
