Associate Director III - Associate Director of Student Account Services
General Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Higher Education, Management or related field. Five years of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations of a department with the oversight of the Director. Performs highly complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in operations and training in the department.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
- Oversees the Student Account Services training and operations. Develops and oversees a structured training plan.
- Provides direction and support for daily operations to ensure a high quality of service is being provided to students, internal departments and outside vendors.
- Serves as a Student Account Receivables (AR) lead for any hardware or software implementation, upgrade, or patches impacting Student Account Services.
- Provides leadership to the department by ensuring customer needs are met with efficient services that are timely and appropriate.
- Handles escalated customer issues related to any Student AR services.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates procedure manuals and ensures that system and university policies and state and federal regulations are upheld.
- Oversees front line operations and third-party services.
- Ensures staff scheduling is optimized so services are handled in an efficient manner at all times of the year.
- Assists with the beginning of term processes.
- Participates in strategic planning. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations.
- Serves as a departmental representative in meetings. Works with other departments across campus. Establishes and maintains good working relationships.
- Attends and presides over other functions within Student Account Services in absence of another Associate Director and/or at Director's request.
- Makes decisions independently under the authority of the director when the director is absent. Enforces department policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
